Of the 8 companies confirmed to serve Somerville overall, 4 confirm offering Wildlife Control specifically. All 4 are ranked below on the same 6-category rubric used across Solvo Index, sorted by confidence tier first, then Solvo Score.
This filters Somerville's own confirmed roster by service. For the hub-wide Wildlife Control ranking across all of Boston Metro, see the full comparison.
Badges are single-fact superlatives among these 4, each tied to one sourced number, never a blended score. Not a competition for #1: a company can hold more than one.

Headquartered in Watertown, serving Greater Boston since 2003 as part of the national Critter Control franchise network, with a 4.9 aggregate rating across 320 reviews and named memberships (IFA, NWCOA, NPMA).
Strengths: Strong reputation figures and confirmed presence across multiple Boston Metro towns, including its own Watertown headquarters.
Weaknesses: This is a wildlife-control-only specialist, not a general pest control company: the company’s own site states "No Cats & Dogs" and does not offer general pest control, termite, bed bug, or mosquito/tick services. Its reputation score also rests on a medium-quality third-party aggregator figure rather than a directly-fetched Google or Yelp rating.
Our Take: A strong choice specifically for wildlife and animal removal, not a general exterminator.
Founded in 1984 and headquartered in Worcester, with dedicated Newton and Somerville service-area pages (the Newton page names Chestnut Hill among its 13 served villages), a 100% satisfaction guarantee, and a $25 referral credit program.
Strengths: A clean BBB record (0 complaints closed in 3 years), a stated 100% satisfaction guarantee, and a referral program. Full service breadth confirmed: general pest, termite, tick, bed bug, wildlife exclusion, and commercial all independently verified.
Weaknesses: Headquartered in Worcester, MA, well outside the Boston Metro core. A frequently-cited "4.9/5 from 1,051 reviews" figure traces to a Birdeye aggregator page, not Google directly, and isn’t used here.
Our Take: A long-tenured, clean-record regional operator, but its most-repeated review figure isn’t actually from Google, confirm current ratings directly.
A wildlife-control specialist headquartered in Brookline, designated an "Agent for MA Division of Fish & Wildlife," offering 24/7 emergency animal removal across a wide range of species.
Strengths: Confirmed across multiple Boston Metro towns, and designated an "Agent for MA Division of Fish & Wildlife," a real, checkable designation type.
Weaknesses: A wildlife-control specialist: general pest control was not independently confirmed. Its own "Since 1993" claim conflicts with a BBB-recorded 2016 business start date, an unresolved discrepancy.
Our Take: A wildlife specialist with a real state designation, but the thinnest public record in this group.
A national brand's Massachusetts office (Winchester), offering general pest control, termite, bed bug, mosquito ("Swat Shield"), wildlife exclusion, and commercial service.
Strengths: Broad confirmed service list and full confirmed coverage across multiple Boston Metro towns.
Weaknesses: The lowest score in this batch: this Massachusetts LLC has 23 BBB complaints closed in the last 3 years against only 10 customer reviews, a recurring pattern of undisclosed billing/cancellation fees. The specific Massachusetts entity operating this office only started in January 2024, under 2 years old, despite the national brand’s marketed "20 Years of Expertise."
Our Take: Service breadth and town coverage look strong on paper, but the documented billing and cancellation complaint pattern for this specific office is serious and recent, get pricing and cancellation terms in writing before signing anything.
Same rubric as every page on Solvo Index: six weighted categories, scored 0–10 against fixed anchors, combined into a Solvo Score (0–100, capped at 97.0). Evidence Completeness sets Confidence Tier: HIGH (90%+), MEDIUM (70–89%), LOW (below 70%). A connected operating system carries a Verified tier above HIGH. Every ranked company, including #1, carries at least one published weakness.
